Common questions
Which AIs work with Domus?
Any assistant that speaks the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — Claude (app and Claude Code), ChatGPT, Google Gemini (CLI/SDK), Cursor, VS Code, and custom agents built on the OpenAI or Google APIs. Because Domus is a standard MCP server, it works with all of them from one connection — no separate app per AI.
Is it a one-click connection?
In Claude.ai and ChatGPT, yes — add Domus as a custom connector, sign in with your Domus account, and approve. There's no token to copy. Developer tools like Cursor and Gemini CLI use a token you generate in Domus → AI Assistants.
Can it change my data, or only read it?
Both, in Claude and via the OpenAI/Google developer APIs — it can add appliances, log maintenance, and update records, not just read. Note: ChatGPT's app currently limits connectors to reading; full read-and-write works in Claude today and the ChatGPT limitation is expected to ease over time. You can also issue a read-only token if you only want look-ups.
Is it secure?
Yes. Connections use standard OAuth — your AI never sees your password, access is scoped to your account, and you can revoke any connection instantly in Domus → AI Assistants. Prefer tokens? They're stored hashed and shown only once.
